Do you know? Our members contribute 60% of our revenue from 2010 to 2020, enabling HSS to grow and mature as a voice of reason and a national organisation for the non-religious.
An analysis of the Society’s revenue over this ten-year period reveal that members have contributed generously to the humanist cause here. On top of membership fees ($20 each year), members have contributed additional funds that have proved critical to sustaining our internships, IT projects, merchandise development and event management. The remaining 40% come from fees collected from paid events.
The bulk of the revenue has gone to supporting more than 200 HSS events over this period, engaged an estimated 7,000 people. It has also helped to support several special projects (corporate video, merchandise, web redesign), and host two international conferences. Taken together, these activities raised the profile of humanism in Singapore considerably.

In addition, over this period, the Humanist Society has achieved more than 50 appearances in the media and built a combined online following of close to 10,000. All these would not be possible without our regular monthly events and a volunteer core to keep things going.
