Inspired by #HumanismAtHome efforts by UK Humanists, the Humanist Society (Singapore) will be launching our own #HumanismAtHome initiative consisting of online activities and content to keep the humanist community motivated and connected during the Covid-19 pandemic.
In the absence of regular HSS events, we invite you and your like-minded friends to participate in the local #HumanismAtHome movement by:
1) Showing support for frontline staff
Show your moral support to frontline staff, especially medical staff, who are risking their lives to keep us safe. You may do one of the following:
- Take a photo of yourself holding a placard with an encouraging message, or
- Light a candle for them, send a picture of the candle, with an accompanying message of support.
You can send your photo to us via info@humanist.org.sg.
Your photo and message will be posted on our Facebook and Instagram. We will tag all the hospitals in Singapore to show them your support!
2) Join our Skype Party
Stay connected! We will be holding Skype group chats (‘Skype Party’) on weekends.
- How did we handle the plagues of the past? (11 Apr 2020).

A Watch Party is a new way for people to watch videos on Facebook together in real time. Once a Watch Party is started, participants can watch videos, live or recorded, and interact with one another around them in the same moment.
