Skype Party #4 – The Future of Work

Date
23/05/2020

Time
2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

We are witnessing the biggest work-from-home effort ever done in modern history, thanks to Covid-19. Even NASA engineers are driving the Mars rover from their bedrooms!

However, Covid-19 should not distract us from the bigger picture: The workplace has been changing for many years. Over the past decade, the rise of remote working technologies, virtual reality and automation has created and phased out many jobs, triggering both anxiety and hope.

In a collaboration between Humanist Society (Singapore) and Singapore Futurists, we are launching a Skype discussion about the future of work as part of the #HumanismAtHome programme.

Click here to join the discussion.

(Discussion will only start at 2PM, 23 May)

We will be discussing 3 topics in the following order: 1) remote working technologies, 2) virtual reality and 3) automation, as well as their impact on our careers and well being. There will be a short presentation for each topic, followed by public discussions where everyone can participate.

Join us, from home!
