Our deepest condolences go out to the family and friends of our fellow Humanist Society member, Mr Ang Hock Guan, who passed away from a heart attack last week at the age of 95.
Mr Ang Hock Guan, a self-described ‘scientific humanist’, was an avid follower of science and secularism for over 50 years. He also advocated for Humanism to take a larger role in the public sphere.
It was Mr Ang’s lifelong ambition to become a member of a humanist society, and he finally realised that ambition recently by signing up as a member with Humanist Society (Singapore).
Mr Ang Hock Guan will be sorely missed by his family and friends.

President
