We will be visiting St John’s Island, Lazarus Island and Seringat Island (now part of the extended Lazarus) to the south of Singapore!
We will board a boat to the southern islands. The bulk of our time will be spent on Lazarus Island beach. You can bring your own games (eg. Volleyball) or go to the bay for a quick swim. There is also an option of visiting the Tropical Marine Science Institute on St John’s island.
Please meet at Marina South Pier MRT (North-South Line) at 830am on 23 August, Sunday. Do RSVP at info@humanist.org.sg to let us know the numbers.
The ferry timings are 9am, 11am, 1pm, 3pm, and 5pm daily. We intend take 9am ferry and take the 3pm ferry back to the mainland.
To prevent excessive amounts of rubbish and food wastage, organizers will be bringing on your behalf some light sandwiches and drinks (via cooler-ice box). In return, you can pay the organisers $3 on the day itself.
You can purchase the boat tickets on the day itself at the Marina South Pier. Return trips cost $18 for adults and $12 for children (1-12 years of age). You don’t have to book these tickets in advance.
For the Tropical Marine Science institute, it costs $16.50 per pax. A minimum of 20 people and a maximum of 50 people are allowed per tour.
