Humanist Society Singapore is very fortunate and grateful to be able to return to Pink Dot again as one of the many community tents!

Join us at Pink Dot, where the Humanist Society Singapore will proudly be one of the vibrant community tents! We are excited to showcase our engaging activities, including interfaith dialogues and peer support initiatives, to the public.

If you’re attending Pink Dot this year, we warmly invite you to drop by our community tent or picnic mat for enlightening conversations or capture a joyful wefie with our dedicated volunteers! About Pink Dot and Humanist Society’s participation

Pink Dot is an event that has occurred annually since 2009 in support of the LGBT community in Singapore. Attendees of Pink Dot events gather to form a “pink dot” to show support for inclusiveness, diversity and the freedom to love.

The location of Pink Dot has always been at Hong Lim Park, New Bridge Rd, Singapore 059299.

The Humanist Society (Singapore) has been supporting Pink Dot since our inception. The Society hopes there can be an increase in space to raise awareness of and respect for LGBT persons through public education and media coverage. LGBT persons, including children, are often subject to arbitrary discrimination, bullying and harassment, because of personal prejudices and ignorance. The impact of LGBT discrimination is also greatly felt by the friends and family of LGBT persons, who share in their struggle for acceptance.

Volunteering opportunities

We will be engaging the public to help them to get know about the society and what our members stand for and why we support Pink Dot, and…

We need help from you in any of the following roles on Pink Dot 2022 day:

  • 2x Pre-event planning (virtual meetings every Sunday at 9pm in Jun (4th, 11th, 18th) until event day)
  • 2x social media content producer (virtual meetings every Sunday at 9pm in Jun (4th, 11th, 18th) until event day)

In-person attendance on event day (24 Jun 2023)

  • 2x Transport (using storage in a car or van, must be available around 11am or 7pm)
  • 2x Photography (using a camera or good quality camera phone, must be available between 3pm-6pm), photos shall be uploaded to our flickr account after the event
  • 6x Public engagement (In shifts on event day and brief training will be given on-site, must be available between 3pm-6pm)
