Conducted by three dedicated humanists with the backing of the Humanist Society Singapore, this workshop aims to provide a platform where every humanist, irrespective of their background, can express themselves, be actively engaged, and, simultaneously, face constructive challenges and critiques. The overarching goal is to foster mutual improvement among us as humanists.
Venue : OnePeople.sg, No 381 Lor 1 Toa Payoh, Block 116, Singapore 319758
Kit, a lawyer specialising in Intellectual Property law, harbors interests in history, philosophy, psychology, and art. She advocates for a two-pronged approach to humanism: one that is analytical enough for profound contemplation yet practical enough for daily application.
Desmond, a Personal Development Coach and Creative Designer, is fervently interested in entrepreneurship, psychology, social science, Lindy Hop, and Parkour. His aspiration is to empower humanists to flourish in an uncertain and complex world through the principles of reason and kindness.
Melvin, a Software Developer and Creative Designer, has pursued modules in his degree focused on critical thinking, formal logic, and ethics. He now seeks to provide reliable thinking tools, rejecting the idea of dictating what to think, and believes that reason is the most effective means to achieve that objective.
