As part of our ongoing community service efforts, the Humanist Society (Singapore) will be working with Lions Befrienders to serve hot meals to the elderly. The Society has been volunteering with them every month since April.
For the month of August, details of our volunteering:
- Date: 18 August, Sunday, from 11am to 2pm
- Commitment: approx. 3 hours.
- Requirements: None! Just a few hours of your time!
- Location: LIONS BEFRIENDERS (GHIM MOH) SAC, Blk 18, Ghim Moh Road, #01-115 , Singapore 270018
- Directions from Buona Vista MRT (a 15 minute walk)

We may need extra manpower for this month’s event as we will also be serving food directly to 20 households around the area.
We will also need help sourcing for food donations for gift bags that will be distributed to the elderly people attending the event. We usually provide instant coffee, packets of biscuits etc. If you would like to contribute, please get in touch with Denise via email ( hss.communityservice@gmail.com), or phone (92269482).
We will also need some help planning activities such as games, singing etc. Something in line with the National Day/ Hari Raya celebrations would be great. Please get in touch if you have any suggestions.
