Hello!

The Humanist Society (Singapore) is delighted to participate in Pink Dot for the 6th year running and this year, we have our own booth at the Pink Dot Community Tent!

We invite you to join us as we support the freedom to love.

We are reaching out for volunteers who can help us on that day from 4pm onwards.

This is what we really need help with:

Flyer Distribution Volunteers X 8 people

We have a special talk coming up in August highlighting LGBT stories in Singapore, featuring blogger Alex Au and writer Prof Lynette Chua. We would like to publicize this talk at Pink Dot by giving out 3000 flyers through the day. If you can help us with this, please come by our booth at 4pm to grab some flyers and help disseminate.

Booth Ambassadors X 4 people

The 1st 500 people to visit our booth will get a rainbow cookie. We would like to ask for help in packing, giving out these cookies as well as interacting with our booth visitors.

  • Suggested items to bring: Lights snacks, umbrellas, hand/portable fans, sunblock, lights wrapped in pink cellophane 🙂
  • If you came forward to volunteer but are unable to make it closer to the date, please let us know as soon as you can, so we can find replacements. Thanks very much!

NOTE: Only citizens and PRs of Singapore are allowed to volunteer at Pink Dot. Similarly only citizens and PRs are allowed to join “the dot formation when time comes for it. They are, however, invited to watch the formation from a designated observation area. Nonetheless, as Hong Lim Park is a public space, everyone including foreigners are free to come for a picnic and enjoy the concert.”
